ABOUT PERTH NORTH METRO RAT RESCUE

As mentioned, we are here to help any rodent in need. We take on an array of cases from casual rehomings to cases of extreme neglect and cruelty. We help these rodents in any way they need, ranging from medical care such as surgeries and medication to rehabilitation. Every rat that comes through our doors receives any behavioural rehabilitation they need to live happier lives. Sadly we deal with some sad situations such as hoarding cases and neglect so some rats are scared of humans, other rats or both. There is always hope for these rats to live happier life as pets so in their time with us they undergo a strict rehabilitation process that is tailored to their specific needs and behavioural issues. These techniques have proven successful in the many rats we have rehabilitated here. Helping rats live a happier life as pet quality rodents is an important factor of our rescue.
We not only specialise in domestic rodents, but also wild ones. This means we will also help any wild rodent in any way they need, from medical care to hand raising litters.
As a animal rescue service, we also work to educate people on rodent care in many aspects and can often provide temporary cage hires if needed.
Perth North Metro Rat Rescue relies of a network or carers to help rodents around Perth. We have branched out as our own rescue after growing interest from the rat community.

I am beyond over the moon with PNMRR! Not only was picking out my two new additions a very smooth process but also an extra special mention and shout out to Olivea for her willingness to go ABOVE AND BEYOND! I cannot be happier and more pleased to have found PNMRR to adopt from!
Olivea also takes great care in who her rats will go to, she makes sure they will have the necessary room and diet etc which I find very important- it shows she truly cares where these little loves will end up!
Her rats are happy and you can tell they’re well looked after and we’ll socialised! She also went to the extra effort of sending my videos of her home set up to give me as close to the usual experience that people who live in Perth adopting would get- which I wasn’t expecting but I was extremely thankful for!
I cannot wait until the next time we are ready to add to our Ratpack, as I will be sure to come back to PNMRR!
